Selling A Digital Product Made With AI in 2025

I started this business back at the end of 2024. I’ve spent the entire year, creating content, building my site and fixing it and tweaking it. Fixing my site some more. Learning to create videos and short form videos. Learning to use AI. Generating images. Writing blog posts, studying keywords, working out how to get the word out there about my product. Posting on social media.

And that is where we are at now. Creating social media posts. Trying to work out how to post in a way that generates interest and having people I meet while marketing to them, joining my Facebook Groups, which you can do by clicking Facebook Aquarium Decor Group or my Marketing and AI Facebook Group. Making videos for social media. Has been a fairly steep learning curve. As has creating my 2nd WordPress site. My first was

all the way back in 2013 so along time ago. Had forgotten most and much had changed.

Biggest Time Suck In Creating My Own Site

That was definately pricing my products. It basically took me a week of messing with a plugin that ended up not working. And then another week for the way I did prices which was creating a price for 33 standard sizes that each of the 100 different designs came in. All up 3300 different products in a sense. That took alot of time also. I did employ someone on Fiverr to do the job for me, but he didn’t do it properly, changed a pile of things and I ended up having to undo all of that, discovering other errors which lead to having to spend about another 5 days, and lot’s of grief sorting all that out.

Eventually My Site Was Ready To Start Selling

‘How was I going to go about, getting the word out there about my Betta Aquarium Decoration Ideas? Using Social Media of course. Creating content for social media is a necessary task for all creators. When your starting your own business, with a product you created, like I have with my aquarium backgrounds, social media is the best way to get the word out there about the product.

Here are the most popular ways marketers spread the word in December 2025

Advertisements are expensive, no matter which platform your using.

Press releases are a way, but pretty lucky to get much press for, especially when it’s a brand new product from a hardly known creator.

Being interviewed by podcasts in the niche is a way, if your lucky enough to get on any that carry any weight.

Writing guest posts, is possible, whether any of the big platforms will accept your submission for the guest post is another thing.

You can create videos, if your speaking pretty much only about your own product though, it will be harder to get views for the videos. Long form video takes a week to produce, short form can be done in a day.

There’s posting on forums, answering relevant posts, with a link back to your website, providing the information is relevant and not over promotional.

Now I believe we have pretty much covered every angle you could use to spread the word, other than influencer marketing, and I know with that, the influencers do charge quite well especially the big guns. So you can basically put that in the same basket as paying for advertising.

Affiliate Marketing

Now there is one more area that I missed. I believe for a new product like mine, that is niche specific, getting affiliates to promote your product for you, is probably one of the best models of marketing around. Only problem with that is finding the affiliates, pretty much requires paying for some form of advertising, so really your back in the same boat.

Content Marketing

Which is what I am doing here. I write a blog post, targeting a specific keyword phrase, that I hope I can rank for in the search results, by providing enough in-depth information on the topic, that I come up suggested on the first page of search results, or recommended by any of the AI’s now doing search engine results.

When paying for advertisements is out of the question!

Paying for marketing efforts, when you have a brand new business, with little income coming in from that, leaves little to pay for any form of advertising and promotion. So now, that brings us full circle back to doing our own marketing and using social media to do it.

Platforms like Canva.com make creating your social media assets so much easier. They have templates, 100s of video and image templates, with text and without. You simply slip your images into the spaces on the template and write over their text with your own. This creates assets for your products. Having a good cache of these assets is a non negotiable. Canva can be used for free however, $20 a month gives you access to every tool on Canva.com including stock footage and images. They have image generators, video generators and thousands of templates. I can’t say enough about how wonderful Canva are and how I would never have been able to create the site I have today, the videos, the promotional material without them.

How much social media posts daily?

Alot as Gary Vee would say. He drills it into people that social is free. Free. So that means we are able to post as many times a week as we would like too. So what does that actually mean? It means you post what you want to share about your product or service . You post in the places where your ideal customer is hanging out. Then you post as many times possible, because we all know, that not many people will actually see the post.

Social Media Betta Fish Content

Ok so we have detmined that we are going to go onto social media and share bits of information about our products. In this case we are speaking about our unique aquarium backgrounds. We can create educational content around the area of our niche. We can post on keywords we are targeting, explainer videos with still more educational content.

We can make promotional content to promote our products and services, showing every little bit of information regarding what our product is, what is does and what problem is will solve.
